    I personally believe that it is a good idea to have vaccinations, but 
they are not perfect, and for many there is some, very low, level of risk.  
If the disease is at that point in time fairly rare, your risk is low, and/or 
protection is provided by everyone you come into contact with being 
vaccinated, then you could make a rational, logical argument for opting out 
on it.  Now, having said this, I still think that on balance vaccination and 
fluoridination are very good things, but I have a hard time thinking of 
anything that I am a hundred percent sure is a pure good with no downside.  
There is also the question of psychological damage in forcing someone to do 
something.  So the question is, is the evidence compelling enough and the 
need great enough to coerce someone into doing it?  I believe in some cases 
that it is, but I am sure there are extropians out there who would disagree, 
and I would not think them lunatics or that they have grave misunderstanding.
